UI-UUP: Urban Indian Underage Use Prevention

Building capacity for the implementation of culturally competent, data-informed strategies to prevent underage use of alcohol and legalized marijuana among Native youth in the Seattle/King County area

The Urban Indian Underage Use Prevention (UI-UUP) Project will build capacity for the implementation of culturally competent, data-informed strategies to prevent underage use of alcohol and legalized marijuana among American Indian and Alaska Native youth in the Seattle/King County area. In partnership with Seattle Indian Health Board and Chief Seattle Club, this project will develop infrastructure to remove barriers to data, knowledge, and resources, so that these agencies can provide consistent and effective messaging to reduce underage alcohol and marijuana use in the urban AI/AN population across King County.

This work is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration under Urban Indian Underage Use Prevention, grant number 1H79SP080996-01.
