Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA)

Senator Harris is California’s junior senator, elected in 2016. Prior to her role as Senator, Harris was the first woman to serve as Attorney General of California, and served two terms as District Attorney of San Francisco. Her committee assignments include the Senate Committee on the Budget, Environment and Public Works, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Harris’ career has focused on public safety and social justice. She has not focused on healthcare, but has come out in defense of the ACA.

Representative Susan Davis (CA-D53)

Representative Davis is the representative for California’s 53rd congressional district and has served since Jan 7, 2003. She was previously the representative for California’s 49th congressional district (2001-2002). Davis is on House Committee on Armed Services and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. She voted to pass the reauthorization of VAWA in 2013, although she does not consistently vote in favor of expanding tribal rights. She is a supporter for community health centers.
